Natron plans a $1.4 billion factory in North Carolina, which will produce 24 gigawatts of sodium-ion batteries annually. The project promises to create 1,000 jobs and boost the local economy by $3.4 billion over the next decade.

Unlike conventional batteries, their designs cater to applications such as EV fast charging and stationary storage systems for data centers or microgrids.
