Under this agreement, Altris and Draslovka plan to scale production of sodium-ion CAM at Draslovka’s facility in Kolín, Czech Republic. Upgrading an existing production line to produce up to 350 tonnes of CAM annually enables a fast and cost-efficient market rollout. This capacity is equivalent to approximately 175 MWh of sodium-ion cell production every year.
Draslovka’s facility offers the ideal infrastructure for rapid production scaling while maintaining strict quality control. By leveraging local production capabilities, the partnership establishes a European-controlled supply chain for sodium-ion batteries, minimizing external dependencies.
Strategic Investment to Accelerate Production
As part of the collaboration, Draslovka is committing a strategic investment of €19.3 million to fund the Kolín facility’s production line conversion. This substantial investment supports facility upgrades while ensuring Altris long-term access to Draslovka’s licenses, process expertise, and co-developed plant designs. Both companies are accelerating their efforts, with sodium-ion CAM production slated to commence by late Q3 or early Q4 2026.
